IIKD Teaching Information
Education is one of IIKD's core mission areas for our work with communities, students, staff, faculty and affiliated allies. We strive to expand learners' capacities to weave multiple worldviews into the science and art of education by promoting culturally-centered approaches to public health.
IIKD's education programming is anchored by the following key initiatives:
- Co-teaching of the annual UNM HSC Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Institute
- Specialized training and orientation to Cultural Humility in health research and practice
- Orientation to working with Tribes, Pueblos and Nations in New Mexico
- Curriculum development and delivery in Indigenous Community Health Assessment and Evaluation
