Biography

I am Navajo/ White Mountain Apache. My Navajo clans include: (Todichi’ii’nii, Tsi’naajinii, Tl’izilani, and Kinyaa’aanii). I come from the small community Yahtahey, NM.  Currently, I am persuing a Bachelors of Science in Community Health Education with a minor in Navajo Linguistics. Moreover, I attended a camp hosted by  the Center of Native American Health “Hogan Dialogues” , where I was given the opportunity to interact with the Shiprock community and socialize with my cohort; through that experience and contact, I decided to pursue a degree in Community Health Education. When I am not in school, I enjoy the chance to work with IIKD and their partnership with Native communities in New Mexico. During my spare time, my hobbies are going home to see my family, horseback riding, playing basketball, listening to country music, and bonding with my sisters of Alpha Pi Omega.
