Kadisha Garcia is member of Kewa Pueblo, also known as Santo Domingo Pueblo. She practices and learns the traditions of her tribe. Kadisha hopes to become a biomedical engineer, so that one day she can design and create a device or software that can be used in health care, especially in rural areas. In order to achieve her dream, she is currently pursuing a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and plans to attend graduate school to get a masters or PhD in Biomedical Science. Kadisha is involved with various organizations throughout campus, such as, American Science and Engineering Society (AISES), Elections Commissioner for ASUNM and is also an active member of the Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity.  When she is not studying or working, Kadisha enjoys reading books, watching Netflix, hanging out with family and friends, baking, and taking naps.
